Tasting Notes:
Cabernet Franc was first established on our Stags Leap District property in 1978, as suggested by a professor from Montpellier. 1982 was the first year a small amount of Cabernet Franc was blended to our Estate Cabernet Sauvignon. Cabernet Franc by nature is a soft-tannin wine, fruit-forward with good acidity. Bright strawberry, raspberry and cola notes dominate with hints of blueberries and cream. There are some floral notes of violets along with vanilla mingled with baking spices.
